Aménagement du logement de fonction - Lycée van Gogh, La Haye
Le logement de fonction du lycée Van Gogh est situé au rez-de-chaussée de l’immeuble et est accessible principalement par la rue Kerklaan. Pour des raisons fonctionnelles, il existe également une porte de communication entre l’appartement et le reste du lycée. Pendant l’occupation de l’appartement par l’ancien concierge, il avait été décidé d’y intégrer d’autres locaux, locaux réservés au départ pour l’infirmerie. Cela avait permis d’aménager une chambre supplémentaire avec des pièces de stockage ( ex: dressing, cellier..).
Le maître d’ouvrage souhaitait récupérer ces derniers espaces pour y installer une nouvelle salle de cours. En contrepartie, il convenait d’aménager une pièce dans ce qui est actuellement le salon. L’appartement demeure ainsi un T4.

Les travaux préparatoires comprenaient la démolition des murs séparatifs entre les différents locaux et la création des ouvertures dans le mur entre la nouvelle salle de classe, le couloir et la salle d'exposition.
L'aménagement concerne la mise en place de nouvelles portes, d'un revêtement de sol et d'un plafond. Pour amener davantage de lumière, le maître d'oeuvre a installé un mur de briques de verre vers la salle d'exposition.

Appartement de fonction
Les travaux préparatoires comprenaient la démolition de nombreux murs et plafonds pour créer un espace de vie plus généreux. L'aménagement concerne la nouvelle chambre, la cuisine américaine et un espace salon- salle à manger.

Refurbishment of the service accommodation at the Lycee van Gogh in the Hague
To conceive a new class room for 24 students at the Lycee van Gogh in the Hague, the adjacent service accommodation from 1994 needed to be redesigned.
Apartment
The apartment is situated on the ground floor and has its proper entrance from the Kerklaan. For functional reasons there is a connecting door into the school area. The key issue was the reduction of the size of the apartment and the creation of a new sleeping room by arranging a compact flat with a functional, open and bright living and eating area in its centre. The interventions asked for the demolition of certain walls in order to reposition a new, open kitchen and the adaptation of the existing electrical, heating, water and light systems. Several floors were renewed or restored, the walls plastered and painted.

After the demolition of several walls and the installation of two new classroom doors, the floor, the walls and the ceiling of the new class room were equally refurbished. To optimize the natural light situation without destroying the existing façade, a wall towards the adjacent exhibition space made out of glass stones was introduced.
